Safety Program

Richardson & Richardson also maintains an excellent safety record, which is due in part to our comprehensive safety program. The company is a proud recipient of the AGC Zero Incidence Rate Safety Award for over 25 years, and was awarded 2nd place nationally for Group IV Overall Safety. Jobsite Safety is a big deal for Richardson & Richardson. It just makes sense to keep a safe jobsite – this cuts our insurance costs, cuts project costs from lost production and errors, and keeps our and our subs’ employees safe for their families. More importantly, a good safety program pays off for our clients in reduced time and costs.

We developed our first safety manual in 1990 and have continued to improve our systems and procedures since. We also participate in the New Mexico AGC CHASE program, a safety program joint venture with NM OSHA. Our projects have mandatory weekly safety meetings and our Work Analysis system requires the installers (both R&R and subcontractors) to think through and resolve any accident potential before doing the work.
